Superman returns.....no not the guy in tights
Made you look. The superman reference here is of course to John Ondrasik and
Five For Fighting. Some of you know I have worked for John in the past as his lighting director.
So as we are well into 2006 there will be a new CD from John this August, titled "Two Lights". The new single "The Riddle" will be available June 13 on iTunes. You can actually here it on the

Buy the CD when it hits stores. I know I'm plugging. Hey I want to see it do well so that John and the band can do a nice big tour. I need the gig.
It's going to be a long hot summer at the airport
I haven't flown in many months, no reason I haven't been on tour in awhile. Hoping sometime soon and now word comes that the airlines are going to be even more stressed this summer. This
article gives some interesting info. If you don't have to fly I wouldn't. Of course who can afford to drive.

You probably remember the nightclub fire in Rhode Island a few years ago. Well the
trials have begun and the first sentence is in. The tour manager received 4 years. He could have gotten 15 years.
I have blogged about this before. The guy screwed up. He had no business using pryotechnics without a license and especially in a club. The trial for the club owners is coming up. I hope they get a longer sentence. Pyro or not, you don't use flammable insulation in a club. Too many club owners cut costs. You should see some of the electrical in some of these places.
This is a wake up call to the touring industry. The days of cheap labor and low cost productions need to come to an end. Otherwise the next time it may be even worse.
