what is it about June
It seems like every year around this time I hurt myself. You know a major cut, sunburn or like this past weekend a sprained ankle.
The worst part was it was a stupid accident. I rolled my foot on a broken sidewalk coming off of steps on a porch. In all fairness the sidewalk had some weeds and grass growing through and it had been raining. I haven't heard the end of it from one of my sister's kids who thought it was funny.
The picture here was from this morning, it actually looks worse now but feels better.
Lots of ice and wrapping it. Ice being the most important part especially in the first 48 hours.
The reason I mention this whole ankle story is it happened at a bad time. I leave this weekend to begin another run of shows. It's going to be a busy summer and it means a lot of time on my feet.
I also have a lot of flying to do in the next week too. Saturday it's off to San Francisco where we do a show on Sunday in Stockton California. I then fly back home on Monday. On Wednesday I turn around and fly to Milwaukee. We have to fly to Calgary within the first week of the tour too.
Thankfully I have a couple ace bandages and lots of Ibuprofen.

Comic Icon
Like many I am a huge fan of stand up comics. I have had the pleasure to hang out with a few over the years. They always seem to show up at rock concerts.
Since I was a kid there have been two that to me are the best and set the bar for other comics.
The first one was Richard Pryor who passed away in 2005.
The other one was George Carlin. He died this weekend of a heart attack. Known for his "seven dirty words you can't say on television". He was smart, clever and he made you think when he did his comedy.
RIP George
Getting there fast
Tomorrow marks another year in my life. Yep the old birthday. I will be forrrtttyy five.....did I just say that? I can't believe it.
People that don't know are shocked when they find out. I guess I am aging gracefully.
Just a few more weeks off and then back on the road I go.
First week off
I have been home a week already. I don't know if time goes by faster on the road or at home. Wait time just seems to be going by fast all the time. I have a birthday in a couple weeks. I can't believe it's June already.
Anyway I got a call from our tour manager the other day. The guys are not going to Europe after all. It seems that Scott as a problem with his neck. It's a sprain from what he said. I don't know what he did to it. I haven't spoke to Scott personally. Hopefully he will be fine by the end of the month.
Between this and the mono he had in January it's been a tough year for him so far.
Get well soon.
