What month is it?
The tour with Chevelle came to a close last night. That was a fast seven weeks. So now I find myself sitting in a hotel in Memphis, TN for the next four days. The guys flew back to Toronto for a couple days rest and a photo shoot.
We will pick up the tour on Friday in Baton Rouge. The next month will be some headlining dates and radio festivals. Yea I know I mentioned this before.
I didn't mention we went to Las Vegas a couple weeks ago for the Miss USA pageant. What a pain in the ass....yea right! Hanging around 51 beautiful young women and get paid to be there. I will never do that again. The sarcasm button is still on.
If they happen to be reading, hello to Miss Florida and Miss Maryland. Sure like they will be reading this.
I even ended being up around $150 gambling.
Getting back to the tour. I ended up doing lights for Chevelle for the last three shows along with the Finger Eleven guys. The LD for Chevelle ended leaving the tour early for some reason. So I was asked to cover for him. Extra money is always nice.

Juno's
No I'm not talking the movie, I think there is a movie called Juno..right? Didn't see it. What I do see is a city excited about a music event. Calgary is a buzz this week as the
Juno Awards come to town. We are in town for it and the guys are really excited since they are up for three awards on Sunday night.
We have been in town since yesterday and actually played an outdoor concert last night in 35 degree weather. Only in Canada.
Tomorrow is rehearsal and camera blocking, which means a day of hurry up and wait. The show will air live Sunday night.
On Monday it's back to the USA to continue our tour with Chevelle until April 20th. It's official, we won't be getting a break until May 25th. Up to that point it's radio festival's and some headlining shows. June looks to be more of the same. There is talk of a short European tour this summer but nothing confirmed.
The schedule continues to slowly fill.
On another note to promoters out there. Please for everyone's peace of mind. When you book a new venue make sure that they have lighting. If not, see that the audio company does or hire a lighting company too.
