Summer continues
Let's see two weeks since my last entry.
I've been taking a break and now I wish the break was over. At least my bank accounts wish it was over. Things are looking slow on the old touring front at the moment. Five For Fighting are not doing any real touring in September. They have three radio shows coming up. I don't think I am going to be with them on these. I know two of them are during the day so no need for me to run lights.
There are tour dates coming together for October. Will have to wait and see.
So in the meantime I'm contacting everyone I know and looking for a tour.
I'm actually home in late August.......I hate this humidity
......ummm.......ok
So I've been lazy....no wait......I've been running around the country with no real free time.
I finally finished the Blue Epic tour. Too many miles, too few shows and too little sleep. I got home last Friday and decided to take a couple days and get away.
I took my nephew to see Barry Bonds and the Giants play my Pirates in Pittsburgh. My sister decided to tag along. We got free tickets through her company. It was a great time. Pirates won in the bottom of the 9th. Barry also hit another homerun.
I've been a Pirates fan since the early 70's. However this was my first chance to get to PNC Park which is only a couple years old. It is a wonderful facility. Old school feel, modern conviences and it holds just 38,000. Every seat is close to the field. We sat ninth row. I can't wait to go again, just wished I lived a bit closer.
We also went to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. This was a nice way to spend the afternoon. They actually had some really interesting items there.
So, now I'm confused. Usually I'm on the road in August. There is talk of Five For Fighting doing shows in September and October.
I haven't spoke to John or management but I understand that his friend that was house sitting a couple weeks ago is going to be ok. They are still not sure why the intruder was in the house. Hopefully they will catch this asshole and throw his ass in prison.
