HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

2007 is coming to an end, just a few hours to go here on the east coast of the US. It was a good year for me as far as tours go. Five for Fighting, Rock The Bells and Finger Eleven. I hope to continue with Finger Eleven into 2008.

As far as the rest of my life it continues along at a steady pace. I'm still single which is a good and bad thing depending on how you look at. I guess at my age I won't be starting a family now. It is never to late, but I'm not stressing about the situation.

My family is fine and in good health. Mom got remarried this fall to an old high school flame which is amazing after 50 years. I'm happy for her since she has been alone all these years since my dad died.

My sister marriage is on the rocks and she is separated from her husband. At least her kids are doing well. She is doing ok though, it was her decision.

Going into this next year I am not going to make an resolutions. I'm not going to try to think to far ahead, I'm just going to take it one day at a time. As long as I'm healthy and I can pay the bills I'm fine.

So to you and yours have a safe and Happy New Year.

The obvious holiday post

Let me start off this post with the holiday wish. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa and of course a Happy New Year, I think that about covers it.

I returned home on Tuesday and began the task of Christmas shopping. I hate to last minute shop but it could not be helped. I am almost done and should be by tomorrow.

The new year should be busy. The Finger Eleven guys will be hitting the road again in February. I received a tentative schedule yesterday from management. The single is still in the top 10 in the US and it is going strong in all of North America. There is talk of a possible tour in Australia this spring but nothing as of yet.

January looks like a month of doing whatever I want, since there are no shows booked at this point. It is good since I would like a break but that also means no money coming in. At least I know there is more work on the horizon.

The worst part of this holiday is that I have a head cold and being so tired from all the recent touring, I am really out of commission.

I have a good story to tell about what happened in Vegas.

Stay tuned.

Oh Canada!

Two weeks have gone by rather quickly. Thousands of miles under our belts and several live concerts and a couple acoustic performances we are back in Toronto and getting ready to do a live show on Much Music. The show will be live Monday at 8pm and the guys will be performing 5 songs.

We flew in from Phoenix last night just as a major snow storm was hitting the area.

This morning I woke up to about a foot of snow and ventured over to the television studio. We set up the backline and the guys came in to sound check.

Tomorrow afternoon we will run through a rehearsal and the show will do the camera blocking. The guys will also be doing a couple of interviews.

So this evening I am spending time in my hotel suite trying to stay warm and get some sleep. I will be heading home on tuesday for the holidays. The real stress begins since I have done no Christmas shopping. This is unusual for me since I generally have it done by now. Get ready for a lot of gift cards my friends.
